How to Judge If A Product Belongs to SDoC, Class A Or Class B?
By the team at Zergo November 7, 2021
The NBTC divides telecommunication equipment that must be inspected and certified into three categories:
1. Class A – The telecommunication equipment which conformed against the prescribed technical standard or technical requirement of NBTC in Class A scopes has to be registered with the NBTC.
2. Class B – The telecommunication equipment which conformed against the prescribed technical standard or technical requirement of NBTC in Class B scopes has to be certified by the Office of NBTC.
3. SDoC – The telecommunication equipment which subjects to Supplier‘s Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) scheme that had prescribed by NBTC technical standard or technical requirement, does not require such equipment to be registered or certified. But the supplier has to provide a written attestation that the equipment conforms to such standard or requirement using the Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) form.
Here’s the NBTC’s classification of equipment according to technical standards and conformity assessment lists.
